With over 100 opera roles in his repertoire, character-baritone Morten Frank Larsen has garnered praise for his performances worldwide, including a successful debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2011. He collaborated with renowned conductors and is also recognized as a skilled lieder singer, earning prestigious awards for his talents among those the Eberhard Wächter Medaille and most recently was named Austrian Kammersänger.
The current plans of Danish baritone Morten Frank Larsen includes Don Giovanni, Wolfram Tannhäuser and role-debut as Pizzaro Fidelio, at the Vienna Volksoper, Theater Magdeburg and in his home-country Denmark.
Recent highlights include roles like Faninal in the Volksoper premiere of R. Strauss's "Rosenkavalier," Peter Besenbinder in Humperdinck’s "Hänsel und Gretel," Germont in "La Traviata," and Gabriel von Eisenstein in "Die Fledermaus" at the Vienna Volksoper, along with several concerts in Denmark.
Guest appearances have taken him to esteemed venues like Deutsche Oper Berlin, Royal Opera in Copenhagen, Frankfurt Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Teatro Communale di Bologna, and opera houses in Zurich, Seville, Toulouse, Salzburg, Palermo and Tokyo.
