Danish mezzo-soprano Laura Mayer will be a part of the Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers (WOYS) at The Norwegian Opera and Ballet in Oslo starting August 2024. Her versatile opera-repertoire includes Carmen, Olga Eugene Onegin, Isabella L'italiana in Algeri and Mrs. Quickly Falstaff.
Indeed, active on the concert-scene as well, Laura has shared the stage with renowned orchestras such as The Munich Symphony Orchestra, The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, The Odense Symphony Orchestra, and The Philharmonic Orchestra of Lübeck in works by Bach, Händel, Pergolesi, Mozart, Rossini, Dvorak and Mahler. Notably, her performance of Mahler's Symphony No. II was broadcasted on NDR.
She is trained at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich under the guidance of KS Professor Christiane Iven.
