Laura Mayer

Mezzo-soprano


Danish mezzo-soprano Laura Mayer is currently a member of the Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers (WOYS) at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo. In the 2025/26 season, she performs the Kitchen Boy in Rusalka, covers Olga in Eugene Onegin, sings the 2nd Lady in Die Zauberflöte, and takes on the title role in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia.

Equally active on the concert stage, Laura has shared the stage with renowned orchestras including the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Odense Symphony Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lübeck. Her concert repertoire includes works by Bach, Händel, Mozart, Rossini, Dvořák and Mahler.

Laura received her training at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich under the guidance of KS Professor Christiane Iven.
